As the grand finale to Hong Kong’s prestigious Art Week, we had the pleasure of supporting the team at *HE.R* for their historic "OPEN by HE.R" festival. For the first time in the city's history, the iconic Chater Road in Central was transformed into a massive, open-air music and design cathedral. To see this legendary stretch of road become a pedestrianised dancefloor during the busiest art week of the year was a testament to the bold vision of the government, the landlord and organisers.


While we are no strangers to large-scale festivals, this project brought a unique set of logistical hurdles. Being located in the literal "Heart of Central," the windows for installation and dismantle were incredibly tight. Our team had to execute a full-scale build, operate the event, and strike out, all within a single day to ensure the road was ready for the Monday morning rush.


Pyjama stepped up to the challenge, providing comprehensive bar management and operations to keep the crowd refreshed, alongside our signature tent structures to define the space. We also handled many of the complex licensing requirements necessary to host a public event of this scale on a major city thoroughfare.


Accepting this challenge was a fantastic experience for our crew. It was a proud moment for us to help deliver such a "bold" event and provide the perfect ending to a vibrant Art Week in Hong Kong.
