Despite a strong line-up of local pop artists and a generally positive on-site family experience, the festival faced significant public backlash. Described in the press and on social media as a "fiasco," an "international joke," a "disappointment," and "sales malpractice," the festival was particularly criticized for the cancellation of the expected balloon rides.


Pyjama was proud to supply all on-site tents and marquees, including the title sponsor AIA's grand 15m x 15m A-Frame pavilion, complete with flooring, Air Con, ABS walls, and glass panels and doors.

When a Typhoon 8 warning was issued, the final day of the event was cancelled. We had just four hours to dismantle two large A-Frames and 50 pagodas and other pop-up structures before the storm hit.
